I couldn’t sleep last night and kept thinking about the carvings I mentioned before. Once something like that gets into your head it’s hard to leave it alone.
I tried to picture them properly rather than relying on the photos, which I still haven’t had developed yet. I can see them clearly enough in my mind. Not complicated shapes, but deliberate. Like whoever did them knew exactly what they wanted to leave behind.
I spent a few hours looking online to see if they matched anything obvious. Band logos, video game symbols, that sort of thing. I assumed it would be something simple once I knew what to search for.
Nothing came up. Not even close.
That doesn’t mean much on its own. The internet isn’t exactly a perfect record of everything, and I’m sure there are plenty of symbols that never make it online. Still, I expected to at least find something similar.
It’s probably just stuck with me because I noticed it in passing and didn’t pay much attention at the time. I’ll wait until the photos are back before thinking about it any more.
